Stroke Research Convertir en PDF Version imprimable Suggrer par mail
Patients who have a mini-stroke with speech problems more likely to have AF (irregular heartbeat), according to research presented at International Stroke Conference. Speech problems alert physicians to investigate the heart as the origin of a ministroke, or transient ischemic attack (TIA). AF is a common risk factor for stroke but often goes undetected.  Patients with AF can be medicated to prevent blood clots.
