Why Work At HCS?
Heaman
Communication Services is a well-established, leading-edge private practice
serving the home, hospital, and school sectors in the Greater Toronto Area. The agency has been developed by a
Speech-Language Pathologist specifically to address the unique challenges
associated with the field of Speech-Language Pathology. HCS has demonstrated a
long-standing commitment to evidence-based quality service within a model that
allows S-LP independence and promotes job satisfaction. Individuals working for our organization
enjoy the benefits of belonging to a large and dynamic team of Speech-Language
Pathologists with a wide range of experience, Clinical Managers, and Administrative
Staff.
As a member of
HCS’ team, the SLP benefits from the agency’s representation in a large number
of associations and projects such as:
Heart and Stroke Rehab Community Best Practices Project, Ontario Stroke
Strategy Rehab Consensus Panel, the Alliance of Professional Associations For
Community-Based Therapy Services, the Peel Region Community Partner Ethics Team,
OSLA, CASLPA, and CASLPO, as well as student placements through the University
of Toronto, University of Western Ontario, University of Alberta and University
at Buffalo.
HCS provides S-LPs
with clinical and administrative support, assessment and treatment tools,
documented policies and procedures, state of the art capability for
point-of-care assessment and charting, and reporting templates; as well as
educational and networking opportunities.
Our structure maximizes the use of technology to increase S-LP
efficiency and effectiveness and to support continuous quality improvement.
Speech-Language
Pathologists are able to determine their own schedule to enable a satisfying
work-life balance and to exercise control over the size of their caseload while
enjoying extremely competitive compensation.
In addition, S-LPs who choose to do so, can gain experience in a variety
of settings with a diverse client base while maintaining the security of a
single employer.
